Deeside Night Race Series - Race #2 - Tarland Trails
Race #2 of the Deeside Night Race Series delivered everything you want from a winter night race. Three loops of Tarland Trails brought steep climbs, fast bermed descents and relentless turns, all raced under head torch alone. With just five seconds separating first and second, it was a flat-out, high-intensity battle that proved the series is very much heating up — even in the dark.

There’s a certain romance to Scottish night races, and Race #1 of the Deeside Night Race Series at Cnoc Dubh had it in spades. From a £1 entry and a Victorian hotel start line to head torches cutting through the forest darkness, this was hill running at its most honest — cold, communal and quietly unforgettable.

Hylo Athletics Return To The Green
Earlier in the year, we linked up with hylo athletics to take the IMPACT for a spin along the River Dee, and with their new khaki colourway fresh on the shelves at O&B, we thought it was about time we done it again!
Deeside Night Race Series 25/26
The Deeside Runners Night Race Series is back, bringing with it all the things that make winter hill racing so good — bogs, ice, questionable footing and well-earned post-race refreshments. For the second year running, Out & Back are proud to support the series alongside Moonlight Mountain Gear and VJ Sport, with opportunities for racers to test head torches and shoes across the events, plus prizes for the overall series winners.
OUT&BACK x NIKE x THE GREEN RUN CLUB
Last Saturday, supported by Nike Running, we joined The Green Run Club for their Saturday Service tackling a chilly 10km riverside loop with the Vomero Plus on-foot.
We finished up at the shop, enjoyed some post-run coffee by Haar Coffee, and recharged before the evening celebrations.
1st Birthday Celebrations
On Saturday we turned one! It’s really hard to sum up the last year, it’s been a bit of a blur, but we’re really proud of what we’ve built and know that we couldn’t have done it without those closest to us.

On The Course: Bennachie Ultra
Last Saturday, we headed out towards Aberdeen’s most well-known hill for the Bennachie Ultra. With O&B & TGRC team members, familiar faces, and many more runners tackling the 50k route, we caught some pre-race moments, the start scenes, and picked up the front runners at Millstone Hill and Mither Tap before descending to the finish line to catch the podium spots filling up.
Chamonix + UTMB with NIKE ACG
After an unforgettable first night at UTMB, we followed the race from Chamonix to Les Houches and on to Courmayeur, cheering on the leaders through heavy rain, snow, and steep trails.
